Agreement
By downloading, installing, activating, or paying for GridMe, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the product. GridMe may update these terms. We post changes on this page with a new date.
What GridMe is
GridMe is subscription software: an Adobe Illustrator panel for logo and identity work. It generates foundation grids, construction overlays, clearspace zones, and Present outputs on locked layers beside your artwork. Seven Base grid types are free forever. Pro unlocks Construct, Clearspace, and Present.
We may change features, supported Illustrator versions, or pricing with notice where practical. Current behavior is described at gridme.in/docs.
Free vs Pro
GridMe has two tiers. You can use the Foundation (Base) workflow without paying. Pro unlocks the full construction workflow.
- Foundation (free) — seven Base grid types (square, circle, golden ratio, and related foundations). No credit card, no license key. Stays free even after a Pro trial ends.
- Pro (paid) — Construct, Clearspace, and Present stages, plus updates for the paid period. Billed monthly or annually through Polar.
- 7-day Pro trial — on first launch in Illustrator, you get full Pro access for seven days with no credit card. When the trial ends, Base grids remain; Pro tabs require an active subscription or license key.
Feature details and current pricing are on Pricing and in Licensing.
Accounts
Paid activation requires a valid account. Keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Email help@gridme.in if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subscriptions and payment
- Pro is billed monthly ($5) or annually ($50) in USD through Polar unless checkout states otherwise. Tax may apply based on your billing country and address entered at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your account billingarea or through Polar's customer portal linked from that page.
- Canceling stops future charges. Access continues through the billing period you already paid for.
Price changes apply to new purchases and renewals after notice on the site or by email. Refunds and cancellation details are in Refunds and cancellation below.
Refunds and cancellation
How to cancel
Sign in at gridme.in, open Billing, and cancel your subscription before the next renewal date. You can also use the Polar customer portal from that page. After canceling, Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period; Base grids remain free.
Refund policy
Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not offer refunds on completed subscription payments. If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong plan), email help@gridme.in within 14 days and we will review it.
EU right of withdrawal (digital goods)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts for digital content without giving a reason.
GridMe is digital software delivered immediately. At checkout you must confirm that you request immediate access and that you lose your 14-day withdrawal right once delivery starts (your license is issued and Pro access begins). That consent is collected on the Polar checkout page before payment. If you do not agree, do not complete purchase.
After you waive withdrawal and access begins, statutory withdrawal rights for that purchase do not apply, except where mandatory law says otherwise. For questions about withdrawal or billing disputes, contact help@gridme.in.
Illustrator extension
GridMe runs as a docked panel inside Adobe Illustrator. Use the ⓘ (info) button in the panel header to open account, documentation, support, and version links. License activation, device management, and periodic validation are described in our Privacy Policy (including machine_id, OS, Illustrator version, and device label sent during license checks). By using the extension you agree that those checks may occur as documented.
Software license
While your subscription is active (or during an approved trial or beta period), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use GridMe for your own commercial or personal design work.
- One active device per subscription unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- You may deactivate a device in the panel or account to free a seat for another machine.
- You may not resell, sublicense, or share license keys outside your organization.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the extension except where law explicitly allows.
- Updates are included for the paid period. Expired subscriptions require renewal to keep using Pro stages.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Circumvent license or seat limits, or use stolen or leaked keys.
- Attack our site, APIs, or other users.
- Use GridMe in a way that violates Adobe's terms or applicable law.
- Scrape or bulk-harvest our site or docs without permission.
We may suspend or terminate access for clear abuse after notice when reasonable.
Intellectual property
GridMe, the site, branding, and extension code are owned by us or our licensors. You keep all rights to artwork you create in Illustrator. We do not claim ownership of your logos or client work.
Third-party software
GridMe runs inside Adobe Illustrator and relies on Adobe's extension platform. Adobe is not responsible for GridMe. Your use of Illustrator remains subject to Adobe's agreements.
Disclaimer
GridMe is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it accurate and stable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect grid geometry for every edge case, or fitness for a particular client project. Review output before client delivery.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to GridMe or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for GridMe in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred USD if you have not paid, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits. In those cases our liability is limited to the minimum allowed by law.
Indemnity
You will defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of GridMe, your artwork or client deliverables, or your violation of these terms, except where caused by our intentional misconduct.
Termination
You may stop using GridMe anytime by canceling your subscription and uninstalling the extension. We may end or suspend access for breach of these terms or non-payment. Sections that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) remain in effect after termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of gridme.in, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be raised with help@gridme.in. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, courts with jurisdiction over the operator may hear the matter, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires a different forum.
